Well-Being Week in Law 2021

In connection with Mental Health Awareness Month, Seyfarth will be participating in Well-Being Week in Law (WWIL) for the second year! All Seyfarth lawyers and professional staff are invited and encouraged to participate.

Sponsored by the Institute for Well-Being in Law, WWIL was created to raise awareness and improve the overall well-being for lawyers and staff. The week of May 3rd - 7th is devoted to promoting health and happiness across the legal profession.

In 2020, the Institute of Well-Being in Law awarded Seyfarth as a Well-Being Champion. Learn more about Seyfarth’s involvement and overall highlights from last year. 

Seyfarth’s 2021 Well-Being Week is filled with activities, at-home challenges, webinars, and resources. See below for a few ways you can join us in raising awareness of well-being in the legal industry. 

Monday, May 3: Stay Strong - Physical Well Being 

The 4-7-8 Breathing Exercise: Research shows breathing can help people feel calmer in everyday life and during moments of acute stress. Try out the stress-calming 4-7-8 breathing technique as demonstrated by Dr. Andrew Weil.

Thursday, May 6: Connect - Social Well Being

Join us for a Seyfarth Webinar “Resilience in High Performing Teams: Intersectionality of Grief and Inclusion.” This moderated discussion will explore the impact of grief in the legal profession before the pandemic and today, ways to provide support for grieving professionals, balance productivity moving forward, and implement grief-informed cultures as we cultivate the integration of well-being and inclusion.
