Program Details
Learn how public/private financing vehicles can be creatively utilized in connection with traditional commercial financing to support the development of mixed-use real estate projects. Examples of the foregoing include Tax Allocation Districts (or TIF) funding, New Market Tax Credits, Tax Exempt Bonds, Bonds for Title, Historic Tax Credits, etc. The first part of this program will be to "build" a hypothetical mixed-use project and demonstrate how these components can be integrated into the project's overall financing requirements. There will be additional discussion on how the financing structure may impact real estate and corporate organizational strategies. The second part of the program will be a panel discussion on the presented topics and an audience Q&A session.
Speakers
Dan McRae of Seyfarth Shaw will present a hypothetical project that incorporates these various creative financing techniques. Mike Rodgers of Seyfarth Shaw will moderate a discussion among a panel of experts who employ these public/private financing vehicles. A complete list of speakers will be distributed prior to the briefing.
