Steven Meier, chair of Seyfarth’s Corporate Department and co-chair of the firm’s Tax Practice, will be serving as a panelist for "Establishing a QOZ Fund – Impacts and Considerations" at IPAForum: Qualified Opportunity Zone Funds in Dallas, TX on February 12, 2019. Qualified Opportunity Zone Funds can be structured as either a partnership or corporation that invests in eligible property or other assets located in a Qualified Opportunity Zone. The panel will explain the rules and qualifications for structuring a QOZ fund and identify capital raising and deployment issues to consider.
