Steven Meier, chair of Seyfarth’s Corporate Department and co-chair of the firm’s Tax Practice, will be presenting "The Basics of Qualified Opportunity Zones" at the 2018 IPA Vision and Due Diligence Symposium on Tuesday, September 25.

Qualified Opportunity Zones represent the most comprehensive expansion of tax advantaged investing opportunities in a generation. This session will review the basics of Qualified Opportunity Zones including the latest guidance from Treasury and the IRS and the IPA’s advocacy initiatives. The discussion will include how opportunity zones are represented in the reformed tax code and what structures might become available to clients.
