Seyfarth Shaw Immigration partner Angelo Paparelli co-wrote an article with Peter Schiron, Jr. of Deloitte LLP and Mareza Estevez of Cognizant Technology Solutions published in the American Bar Association Section of International Law's Who's Who Legal. The article identifies specific challenges and offered suggestions for Chief Legal Officers and senior human resource professionals when addressing legal and practical issues that arise in global mobility, the movement of workers and their families to different countries.

Touching on important global mobility management considerations, Angelo recommends best practices when dealing with national differences, alternative business models, legal compliance/risk mitigation, cost control, data management/integrity/privacy, quality assurance and performance management. He says that when global mobility management (GMM) is "well conceived and overseen, [it] offers many ways for multinational employers to help achieve business mission." He adds, "access to outstanding talent unavailable in the destination or home countries, expansion of commerce into mature and developing markets, more worldly and wise business leaders, culturally relevant branding and labor arbitrage -- these are but a few of GMM's benefits."
