Arren Goldman, partner in Seyfarth's Real Estate department and co-lead of the firm's Distressed Situations team, will moderate the CRE Finance Council (CREFC) after-work seminar, "Trends and Hot Topics for Loan Servicing Matters," on December 2. Panelists will explore all types of consent requests, including loan modifications, transfers (assumptions and non-permitted equity transfers), and leasing-related requests, and discuss how market participants are navigating timing pressures, intercreditor dynamics, and evolving stakeholder expectations. The discussion will also examine key nuances in servicing across different securitization structures, specifically CLO, SASB, and CMBS, and how these distinctions impact the handling of consent matters. In addition, the panel will spotlight emerging approaches to documentation and process efficiency, along with practical strategies for balancing the requirements and demands of servicers, counsel, rating agencies, and other key players.
