Boston’s Christopher Robertson Quoted in Bloomberg Businessweek
“Probe Unlikely to Change Insider Trading Rules”

Boston partner Chris Robertson was quoted in a recent article from Bloomberg Businessweek on an insider trading investigation that is causing confusion for investors and disrupting the fast-growing “expert network” industry. The article points out, however, that the Justice Department’s probe into illegal trading activities on Wall Street is unlikely to change the rules investors must follow when researching stocks.

Expert networks are firms that, for a fee, connect knowledgeable people with investors and others seeking expertise. Chris pointed out that it is not the idea of expert networks that is illegal, but how they are used.

“A simple question every investor should ask themselves is, “How did you get this information?” Chris said.
