Cameron Weil, Michael Lobie, and Jiten Patel to Speak at ABA Annual RPTE National CLE Conference

Cameron Weil, Michael Lobie, and Jiten Patel will speak at the American Bar Association's 36th Annual Real Property, Trust, and Estate (RPTE) National CLE Conference in Washington, DC on May 8-11.

Cameron Weil, partner in Seyfarth's Real Estate department, and Michael Lobie, partner in Seyfarth's Corporate department, will serve as speakers for the session, "Current Trends for Special Investors and Investment Structures - REITs, DSTs, and Ozs," on May 10. Cameron will also serve as program chair for this session, which will provide an overview of alternative investment structures, with a particular focus on REITs, OZFs, and DSTs from a real estate, tax, and securities perspective.

Jiten Patel, associate in Seyfarth's Real Estate department, will serve as a speaker for the session, "The Ins and Outs of Hotel Franchise Agreements," on May 9. This program will provide an overview of how to review a hotel franchise agreement, what generally can and cannot be negotiated, and what to look for when requesting a comfort letter in connection with a loan.

Jiten will also serve as a speaker for the session, "Strategic Insights: Reps, Warranties, Survival and Indemnities in Purchase and Sale Agreements," on May 10. This program will discuss commonly negotiated provisions of Purchase and Sale Agreements, specifically including representations and warranties, survival periods, and indemnification clauses.
