Charles Wall to Speak at "Contractors' Perspectives on P3s" ARTBA Webinar

Charles Wall, partner in Seyfarth's Construction group and co-lead of the firm's Public-Private Partnerships (P3) practice, will serve as a panelist at the American Road & Transportation Builders Association (ARTBA)'s webinar, "Contractors' Perspectives on P3s," on January 10.

Contractors are critical to any P3 involving development or improvement of transportation assets. As the P3 market continues to evolve, so does the perspective of the contracting community. All ARTBA members are invited to join this discussion as Chuck and three contractors share their diverse views of the current P3 market, lessons learned, and ideas for improvement. The panel will explore topics such as: why some contractors are more open to P3s than others, and why some have left the market; how the P3 model could change to attract more participation from the contracting community; the role of local contractors and suppliers, as well as DBEs and SBEs; which projects are a better fit for P3s, such as roads, bridges, transit, airports, and others; new markets like electric vehicle charging infrastructure; the contractor’s role in a collaborative procurement model; and the impact of current market challenges like inflation and workforce.
