Corporate Attorney Mitchell S. Marder Joins Seyfarth Shaw in Washington, D.C.
Washington, D.C. (July 10, 2007)—Seyfarth Shaw LLP, one of America’s leading full service law firms, announced that Mitchell S. Marder, General Counsel for CytImmune Sciences, Inc., has joined Seyfarth Shaw as of counsel in its Corporate and Finance Group. He is resident in the firm's Washington, D.C. office. As General Counsel at CytImmune, Marder was formerly of counsel with Katten Muchin Rosenman LLP. Marder will split his time between his CytImmune duties and his work with Seyfarth Shaw.
Marder’s practice is focused on the representation of emerging growth companies, ranging from start-up to publicly-held and venture capital firms. He has advised companies in many high tech related industries, including (with special emphasis) biotechnology and life sciences, telecommunications, renewable energy and enterprise software solutions. He has experience in a variety of public and private (debt and equity, including Rule 144A) transactions, merger and acquisition (buy and sell side) activities and strategic transactions, including joint ventures. He also has experience in representing domestic and foreign financial institutions and equipment vendors as lenders, arrangers or agents and companies as borrowers or issuers in the origination and work - out of secured and unsecured financings (including, high yield debt, credit facilities, equipment leases and project finance).
Tyler focuses his practice on emerging companies, representing privately held companies and venture funds in various matters, including general corporate law, corporate governance and debt and equity financings. He has extensive experience in mergers and acquisitions.

Marder is admitted to the bars of Massachusetts and the District of Columbia. He has both a B.A. in International Affairs (Phi Beta Kappa) and a J.D. from The George Washington University.
