Adam Laughton, partner in Seyfarth's Corporate department and member of the Health Care, Life Sciences & Pharmaceuticals industry group, will co-present a session during AHLA’s 2021 Annual Meeting, titled, “Developing and Sustaining Telemedicine Programs in a Pandemic and Post-Pandemic Environment—Regulatory and Practical Perspectives on Standing up a Telehealth System,” on June 30, 2021. During the presentation, Adam and Dr. Alexa Kimball of Harvard Medical Faculty Physicians will explore what it takes to stand up a telemedicine program in a rapidly changing environment, focusing on Dr. Kimball’s experience establishing Harvard’s telehealth program during the COVID-19 pandemic. They will also address the growth and future prospects for telehealth, and well as the legal background for telehealth services in the United States, and many practical considerations for providers seeking to build and develop their own telehealth program.
