Erika Birg Quoted in Fulton County Daily Report
“Senate OK'd 'Blue-Pencil' Power”
Erika Birg was quoted in the May 3, 2010 Fulton County Daily Report article, “Senate OK'd 'Blue-Pencil' Power.” The article reported on the passing of H.R. 178, a resolution that will streamline Georgia state law on noncompete agreements and allow judges to alter disputed employment contracts that contain such agreements. This article was a follow up to an earlier article, published in February 2010, when H.R. 178 was first introduced. Erika, who has commented on the bill since its inception, pointed to the problems with the noncompete clause in the BellSouth v. Forsee case as a reason H.R. 178 should pass and sent to the voters for approval as an amendment to the state Constitution.
