Jason Priebe was quoted in the article, "Explaining the Electronic Discovery Reference Model," published April 9, 2009 on SearchStorage.com. The article reported on the Electronic Discovery Reference Model (EDRM), which divides the e-discovery process into six areas and identifies the functions associated with each area. The six areas include: information management, identification, preservation/collection, processing/review/analysis, production and presentation. Jason, Of Counsel at Seyfarth Shaw, and formerly the e-discovery practice manager at a major property and casualty insurance company, remarked, "Even with all these systems, it's hard to get to unified content management, which is where you ideally want to be. It takes several years to get to that point, and you still face fire drills when an e-discovery request comes in." He further noted, “Even with [existing] tools, it still takes years to sweep up all the unstructured data."
