Jay Carle is a Contributing Author and Panelist for the George Washington Law School's Discovery Proportionality Benefit-Burden Model Bench-Bar Conference
On March 25th and 26th, the James F. Humphreys Complex Litigation Center of the George Washington Law School will host an online bench-bar conference, which will review the GW Discovery Proportionality Benefit-Burden Model Framework.
The conference will examine a work-in-progress discovery proportionality benefit-burden model, developed under the center’s auspices by teams of lawyers and judges. The model’s structured methodology creates a new analytical framework, which is designed to enhance a party’s proportionality assessments, facilitate discovery negotiations with the opposing party, and better inform judicial resolution of discovery disputes.
Seyfarth partner, Jay Carle, is a contributing author to the Model and will participate in a panel on March 26 that will cover Counsel Views on the new proposed Framework and its potential impact. In addition, twelve federal judges and 23 prominent practitioners and other experts will lead discussions with an expected audience of approximately 200 practitioners and discovery experts.
We believe this New Framework has the potential to significantly improve proportionality assessments in discovery, and would like to invite you to be one of the first to learn about it, while helping to improve it. Please join us.
