Jay Gitles and Gregg Dorman Mentioned in Heartland Real Estate Business and Shopping Center iBusiness

Real estate attorneys Gregg Dorman and Jay Gitles participated in the annual Chicago Retail Roundtable, sponsored by Shopping Center Business and Heartland Real Estate Business, and hosted by Seyfath Shaw. The event, which included representatives from more than 20 Chicago-area development, brokerage, financial and legal firms examined the state of retail real estate in the Chicagoland.

Gregg’s comments on specific retail growth and the permit process throughout the city are included in "Chicago Retail Roundtable," in the September issue of Heartland Real Estate Business, and "Changes In Store For Chicago’s Retail Market," in the September issue of Shopping Center Buisness: "One of the things that has been asked is how the process has been expedited recently? From a development/developer [standpoint], a lot of my clients are big box developers that self-develop frequently, the whole permit process in the city, the expedited process, has been an absolute godsend. Historically, you were waiting 6 to 9 months for a building permit and it was difficult to try and plan for that length of time."
