Jeffrey Musman was profiled in the Boston Business Journal for his years of leadership in diversity and his work to broaden diversity in the legal profession. Jeff commented to the Journal, "I used to believe, naively, that this problem would be soluble in a short time. We now understand that this is an issue that requires patience and we have to proceed with the knowledge that everything we do will lead in the long-term to improving our ability to attract and retain a more diverse pool of associates." According to the article, Jeff recently organized a firm wide community service day in Dudley Square, where attorneys and associates participated in legal clinics sponsored by the Urban League and supported food pantries and other community resources. He explained, "what was interesting to me was that 80 percent of the firm had never been to Dudley Square, which is probably less than a mile from our office. We did things that might not have a direct relationship on our ability to retain or hire people of color, but it might have long-term positive effects."
