"The ongoing struggle for TAA compliance"

Seyfarth Shaw partner and Chair of the firm's Government Contracts practice, Kevin Connelly, wrote an article published in the Washington Business Journal on September 15. The article discussed the importance for contractors to take any needed steps in order to comply with Trade Agreements Act (TAA) provisions.

Kevin points out that both manufacturers and resellers are subject to TAA compliance, and the General Services Administration has heightened its focus during contractor audits on TAA compliance. He recommends that contractors confirm the origin of all products and services sold to the government in order to make sure they are from the approved countries under the law.
