Kori S. Carew, Esq. Speaking at DRI 2021 Annual Meeting

Seyfarth’s Chief Inclusion & Diversity Officer Kori S. Carew, Esq. will deliver the State and Local Defense Organizations Leadership Luncheon keynote October 14 in Boston, Massachusetts.

Kori's keynote will discuss increasing awareness of how we interact with each other and why intentionality makes a difference.  Kori is a community builder who generates awareness and understanding of critical human issues by creating the space for open dialogue that enables people to expand their perspective and drive positive change. Topics covered will include:

• Practicing a higher level of listening where you are trying to connect with the others and see past bias.
• Authenticity and covering, and how they impact inclusion, belonging, and diversity; and intersect with stereotypes, myths, bias, and -isms.
• Self-care for women of color.
• Toll of racism, bias, and micro-aggressions on people of color; and how we can better address race-based trauma.
