Louann Bronstein was quoted in the Fulton Daily Report's Deal Watch Blog in the article, “Athlete-Investors Go On Run For Their Money," published September 16, 2009. The article reported on Recover-Gear’s purchase of a private company based in Jacksonville, FL that makes devices designed to speed the recovery of sports injuries. The article noted that Seyfarth Shaw partners Louann Bronstein, Jay Myers, and Brian Michaelis represented Recover Gear in its acquisition.

According to the article, the company was formed by a merchant bank and a group of athlete-investors who have competed in more than 25 iron men competitions. Louann explained, “These investors … use the products in their training.” She pointed out that the primary product Recover-Gear makes is “a compression garment with a pocket for holding an ice pack or a heat pack, and they can be worn… after a race or if you’re a baseball player, for example, after a game. They’re also designed to be worn during a… training run.” Louann further noted that the products are used by athletes and physical therapists.
