Michael Jusczyk Co-Chairs BBA Virtual Event: Young Bar Meets Bankruptcy Bench - A Two Part Series
On Thursday, February 10th and Thursday, March 3rd from 4:00 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. Eastern, Michael Jusczyk, attorney in Seyfarth's Boston Litigation Department, will co-chair a two part webinar series for the BBA Virtual Event: Young Bar Meets Bankruptcy Bench. This year’s Young Bar Meets Bankruptcy Bench program features a “mock” motion session before Bankruptcy Court Judges. In this two-part event, participating attendees will learn how to put on an effective oral argument, and then argue a motion before the Court. More details below.
Session 1 - Roundtable: Thursday, February 10th at 4 p.m. ET
The first session will feature Bankruptcy Court Judges and experienced lawyers. Learn what to expect and how to prepare for a motion hearing and effectively argue a motion before the Court. This is an unparalleled opportunity to hear directly from actual Judges what to do (and, just as importantly, what not do to), when you get up to argue your motion. You will also receive practical tips and advice from attorneys who have been there before about how to put on the strongest case you can.

Session 2 - Motion Hearings: Thursday, March 3rd at 4 p.m. ET
In this second session, put your preparation to the test by presenting your oral argument before Bankruptcy Judges and an audience of fellow New Lawyers in a virtual courtroom! You will receive instant feedback from the Judges that is sure to help you feel more confident and prepared each time you go in to Court. Those attendees who don’t argue a motion will have the great opportunity to observe their peers, see the tips and strategies discussed at the Roundtable in action, and make new connections with other young lawyers!
