Wexler discussed how US employers should maintain the status quo until the fate of a motion to halt the Federal Trade Commission's (FTC's) rule prohibiting most noncompete agreements is decided.

“I recommend that employers monitor the progress of the legal challenges to the FTC rule—critical decisions are expected next month—while also preparing to comply if the rule ultimately goes into effect Sept. 4.”
