Seyfarth Shaw LLP and the Washington Business Journal are pleased to again join together to bring you an opportunity to learn from industry leaders as they discuss important issues of interest to those involved in real estate in the Washington D.C. metropolitan area. This year’s program focuses on the role of institutional owners and investors in the region and the evolving world of green construction. The institutional owner/investor discussion will include, among other things, (i) special issues involved in buying or leasing from, or selling to, an institutional owner, (ii) favored asset classes and locations, (iii) current issues of concern to institutional owners/investors; (iv) joint venture criteria and considerations, and (v) the growth of commingled funds and other trends. The green construction panel will cover, among other things, (i) current trends in green construction; (ii) emerging regulatory and governmental issues; (iii) evolving tenant requirements; (iv) implications for developers, contractors and tenants; and (v) LEED certification.
