Peter Brooks Quoted in Massachusetts Lawyers Weekly "The Long and the Long of It: 1989 Dispute Between Former Business Partners Continues"

Peter Brooks was quoted in the June 28, 2008 issue of the Massachusetts Lawyers Weekly in the article, "The long and the long of it: 1989 dispute between former business partners continues."  The article reported on the ongoing case, Sommer v. Monga/Maharaj, where Peter Brooks has been representing the plaintiff in his battle against his former business partner for 19 years. The case was tried in 1991 and Sommer prevailed and won a $500,000 judgment against Monga and the company, Core Environment. Even though both men have since passed away, the case continues as Maharaj, the wife of Monga, presses on with appeals against Sommer's estate.  According to Peter, "The last 15 years have been nothing but frivolous pleadings, and the legal fees have far exceeded anything that will ever be collected."
