According to the article, this is a trend expected to continue as companies figure out how to improve their bottom lines while remaining compliant with the law. Pete, who heads the firm's Employee Benefits Department, provided his thoughts on the expansion: "We've seen opportunities to grow our group in this environment. It's not so much that the economy is driving growth, but rather for Seyfarth and perhaps other firms that think like we do, I think the down economy may be an opportunity to pick up some strong talent in the area.” The article noted that Seyfarth recently expanded its employee benefits and executive compensation practice with the addition of Howard Pianko, Richard Schwartz and Randell Montellaro from Epstein Becker & Green, PC, in addition to six employee benefits practitioners who joined them in the move.
