“China Worries Improve Prospects of the Trade Secrets Bill”

Seyfarth Shaw Trade Secrets, Computer Fraud & Non-Competes partner Robert Milligan is quoted in a July 2 Law360 article discussing the Private Right of Action Against Theft of Trade Secrets Act, a new trade secrets bill in Congress that would let companies file civil suits in federal court when their trade secrets are stolen.

According to Robert, creating a federal cause of action "would say that America takes its intellectual property seriously as a national security issue, and it's not going to be left to the nuances of state court law."
