Sarah Touzalin was quoted in a July 30 story from Bloomberg Law, “Birth Tax Break Rollout Stalls as Repayment Deadline in Limbo.” Touzalin said clearing up whether plan sponsors even need to offer the adoption/birth benefit would go a long way; it’s unclear if this relief, similar to coronavirus-related distributions, is optional.
