Seyfarth and Mercer Release Annual 2016 Board Governance Survey for Health Care Organizations

Seyfarth Shaw LLP’s Health Law group has partnered with Mercer to release the 2016 Board Governance Survey for Health Care Organizations. The survey report summarizes the trustee governance practices of 41 health care organizations across the United States.

The role of independent board members in tax-exempt organizations has evolved and become increasingly complex and competitive, particularly in the health care industry. Meanwhile, there have been little data on governance and compensation practices for boards of tax-exempt organizations. The survey was designed to help organizations understand their practices in comparison to similar organizations.
