Seyfarth International Employment Law partner Chris Gardner was quoted in The Australian Financial Review’s article “Into the great unknown: business braces for new bargaining laws” on December 2. Gardner said the new laws will make it easier for unions to file an application to "rope in" an employer into federal awards, a tool that will allow unions to bring unwilling employers into a pre-existing multiemployer agreement if most staff support it, rather than devote resources to lengthy negotiations.
