ATLANTA (March 25, 2014) – Seyfarth Shaw LLP advised Home Depot U.S.A., Inc. in connection with one of its e-commerce fulfillment centers, a 1.1 million-square-foot facility located in Henry County, Georgia. The newly constructed facility was recognized by Atlanta Business Chronicle as the 2013 Industrial Deal of the Year.

The $45-plus million distribution center was completed in September 2013, with Home Depot officially opening for business in February 2014. The building is expandable to more than 1.3 million square feet and includes more than 23,000 square feet in office space.  This is one of three facilities the company will open over the next two years to keep up with its rapid growth in e-commerce.

The Seyfarth team was led by Atlanta Partner Lynn Holiday and included attorneys Dan McRae (Atlanta), Michelle Barnett (Atlanta), and Garland Reid (Atlanta), and paralegal Gail Burkhalter. In addition to the real estate related aspects of the transaction, Seyfarth attorneys worked with the Development Authority of Henry County to obtain and document a robust incentive package that required a “bonds for title” legal structure.
