CHICAGO (May 2, 2011) — Chicago partner Ronald Lipinski recently co-hosted a webinar supporting the education goals of the Seventh Circuit Electronic Discovery (eDiscovery) Pilot Program to more than 2,000 lawyers.

The Seventh Circuit Court of Appeals program was developed in response to the need for cooperation and reform during pretrial litigation procedures and to promote fairness and justice to all parties while reducing the cost of eDiscovery. A major goal of the program is to educate the legal community about the eDiscovery procedures required by the Federal Rules of Civil Procedure, case law and the Standing Order implementing the program’s principles, which are designed to improve the discovery process by incentivizing “cooperative exchange of information on evidence preservation and discovery.”

Lipinski spoke alongside Heidi J.K. Fessler, senior director of client development for Merrill Corporation, and Daniel Graham of Clark Hill PLC.  Notice of the presentation was sent to all attorneys who practice or are involved in litigation within the federal courts in the Seventh Circuit. It was viewed by attorneys throughout the country.
