New York, NY (July 18, 2005) - -  Seyfarth Shaw LLP, one of America’s leading full service law firms, today announced that Charles M. Modlin has joined the firm as partner in the Corporate Practice Group.  He will be resident in the firm’s New York office.  Previously, Modlin was a partner in the corporate department of Morrison Cohen LLP.
 
Modlin’s practice is focused in the area of transactional matters, including mergers, acquisitions and divestitures, public offerings and private placements of equity and debt, venture financings and related fund and company representations.  He advises public and private companies, boards of directors and senior executives in a wide range of corporate, securities, and related matters, including SEC, NYSE and NASDAQ regulatory requirements, commercial banking, including senior and mezzanine debt lending, and day-to-day advice on corporate governance, including matters relating to Sarbanes-Oxley, and all aspects of operations and business strategy.
