Seyfarth Shaw Featured and Stephen Poor Quoted in Chicago Daily Law Bulletin
"Two Firms Here Rated At Top For Diversity Efforts"

Seyfarth Shaw was featured in the September 2, 2008 issue of the Chicago Daily Law Bulletin in the article, "Two Firms Here Rated At Top For Diversity Efforts." The article praised the firm for being one of two Chicago-based law firms to achieve a perfect 100 percent rating for the first time in the Human Rights Campaign's 2009 Corporate Equality Index survey. The Human Rights Campaign is the largest national lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender political organization in the country. As Stephen Poor explained in the article: "We try to create an inclusive culture because we believe that people from diverse backgrounds bring valuable insights that help us see our clients' challenges from a variety of perspectives. We're very proud of the contributions of our [lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender] colleagues.'' Laura J. Maechtlen is also noted for her role as the president of the National Lesbian and Gay Law Association.
