ATLANTA (February 25, 2011) -- Leading law firm Seyfarth Shaw announced today that it was a sponsor of the National LGBT Bar Association’s first Out & Proud In-House Counsel reception held in Atlanta February 9.

The reception was co-sponsored by the Association for Corporate Counsel (ACC), the Stonewall Bar Association (Atlanta), and other major Atlanta law firms. More than 90 corporate counsel and legal professionals in the Atlanta area were in attendance.

Seyfarth Shaw was well represented with San Francisco partner Laura Maechtlen and Atlanta partners Erik Rodriguez and Kwame Benjamin. Also in attendance were Atlanta Business/Process Development Coordinator Kim Mellen and paralegal Michael Horton.

The LGBT Bar also honored the Coca-Cola Company’s Chief Ethics & Compliance Officer, Sharon Zealy, for her efforts to advance LGBT equality and diversity in the workplace.
