Seyfarth Shaw Welcomes Jack D. Todd as Partner and Kevin T. Brown as Of Counsel in the Atlanta Office

Atlanta, GA (August 24, 2009)—Seyfarth Shaw LLP, one of America’s leading full-service law firms, today announced that Jack D. Todd and KevinT. Brown have joined the firm’s Atlanta office. Todd joins as a partner in the Intellectual Property Practice Group. Brown joins as of counsel in the Corporate & Finance Practice Group. Prior to joining Seyfarth Shaw, Todd was a partner at Morris, Manning & Martin LLP. Brown was previously a partner at Sell & Melton LLP (Macon, GA).

Todd’s practice concentrates on patent and trademark prosecution, strategic counseling, enforcement and protection of IP, transactional, licensing, opinion, and clearance. He has specific patent experience with electrical and electronic systems, computer networks and architecture, software, financial digital security, computer-implemented business methods, medical devices, and mechanical and general system arts. Todd represents numerous U.S. and international clients for patent and trademark matters in a wide range of industries.

Brown’s practice focuses on representing governmental issuers of securities and private borrowers in conduit incentive financing transactions; general state and local government representation; ad valorem taxation; corporate transactions relating to public/private partnerships, and related real estate matters.

Todd earned his B.E.E. in Electrical Engineering (with highest honors) from the Georgia Institute of Technology and his J.D. from Duke University School of Law. Todd is admitted to practice law in Georgia, North Carolina, and South Carolina, and is a registered U.S. Patent Attorney.

Brown received his B.B.A. from Mercer University and his J.D. from Mercer University Walter F. George School of Law.
