Seyfarth’s Stan Jutkowitz Named a National Law Journal 2020 “Trailblazer” for Cannabis Law

Seyfarth’s Stanley Jutkowitz, leader of the firm's Cannabis Law practice and member of the Corporate department in Washington, D.C., was named a 2020 “Trailblazer” for Cannabis Law by the National Law Journal.

In his profile, the National Law Journal writes:

Launched in 2016 at Seyfarth Shaw, Jutkowitz’s “The Blunt Truth” was one of the earliest Am Law 50 publications on the evolution and implementation of cannabis laws.

With California and Nevada legalizing recreational use in 2016 and growing interest from private, governmental and nonprofit groups, Jutkowitz next created one of the first formal cannabis law practices in the country and assisted one of the first public companies to sell to a Canadian SPAC as a public transaction.

Jutkowitz believes cannabis activity will continue to remain flat until tax legislation is changed, cannabis is legalized at the federal level and banking services improve.
