Seyfarth’s Tamaron Houston Named to Leadership Atlanta's Class of 2021
Seyfarth’s Tamaron Houston, Real Estate partner in Atlanta, was named to Leadership Atlanta’s Class of 2021.
The core of Leadership Atlanta's programming is thier signature nine-month, executive-level series. Approximately 80 established leaders each year are selected to represent a broad cross-section of metro Atlanta. Through retreats, full-day seminars, service projects, discussion groups and community tours, members explore critical community issues, examine themselves as leaders and build relationships of trust and mutual understanding.
Throughout her legal career, Houston has committed to empowering others. She is an active member of the firm's Diversity & Inclusion Action Team, serving as the National Chair of the firm’s African American Affinity Group. Since 2012, Houston has chaired the Spelman and Morehouse Internship Program, which provides undergraduate students who are interested in attending law school with an opportunity to gain practical law-firm experience working at Seyfarth. She is also a member of Seyfarth's Lawyer Development Committee. While still in law school at the University of Virginia, Houston clerked for the NAACP legal department in Houston during Hurricane Katrina, helping evacuees with landlord and tenant disputes, wrongful evictions, and foreclosure matters. Notably, she serves as Atlanta City co-lead for the Leadership Council on Legal Diversity (LCLD) for the 2019-2020 year.
