Seyfarth's Tracee E. Davis Appointed Chair of New York City Bar’s Judiciary Committee

Seyfarth’s Tracee E. Davis, partner in the firm’s Litigation department in New York, was appointed chair of the New York City Bar Association’s Judiciary Committee.

A commercial litigator and Certified Information Privacy Professional, Davis represents corporate clients involved in business disputes requiring mediation, litigation or arbitration. She advocates and mediates on her clients' behalf, and provides preventative legal advice and risk assessments to help clients minimize their exposure to litigation. Earlier in her career, Davis worked for seven years as an attorney in the New York State Court system, researching and drafting decisions on a wide spectrum of commercial and noncommercial, substantive, and procedural legal issues. She presided over settlement conferences and discovery disputes and managed a docket of more than 400 cases.

The 150-year-old Judiciary Committee of the New York City Bar Association reviews, interviews and evaluates every judge and judicial nominee for appointment, re-appointment or election to any state and federal court based in NYC, as well as candidates for District Attorney in the five boroughs and nominees for U.S. Attorney for the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York.
