Sheryl Tatar Dacso, partner in Seyfarth's Corporate department and member of the firm’s Health Care, Life Sciences & Pharmaceuticals industry group, will co-present a Strafford webinar “Retail Clinics in Healthcare: A Post-Pandemic Review of the Corporate Practice of Medicine, Licensure, and Scope of Practice Compliance” on March 16, 2021.

Retail clinics continue to expand nationwide. Physicians and hospitals once regarded retail clinics as a threat to their business models and risky for patients. However, opinion has shifted; new approaches are emerging as physicians, hospitals, health systems, and insurers develop various formal and informal relationships with retail clinics.

With the rise in health care consumerism and transparency, and the push to reduce costs while delivering appropriate care, retail clinics may provide attractive opportunities for hospitals, physician groups, retailers, insurers, and private investors. However, counsel must consider the legal and regulatory landscape before inking a deal.

This program will examine regulatory and licensing trends concerning retail clinics and providers, and emerging relationships between physicians, hospitals, health systems, and payers with retail clinics. Click here for more information and to register.
