Spain and France, and Southern and Western Europe in general, have seen major changes in the employment landscape within the last year. Seyfarth’s Spanish and French qualified International employment law experts, Ana Cid and Laurence Harvey Wood, dove into some recent developments in their 45 minute webinar. These International Employment Law specialists provided an overview of what’s new in Europe, and in particular, in Spain and France, from a civil law standpoint.

Topics included pay equity rules, implications of the Gig Economy (the rise of companies delivering services through digital platforms and apps where individuals are paid ‘by the gig’ and the local decisions against them), remote working policies and regulations, the latest in lockdown rules, and other employment law developments and trends in Southern and Western Europe.
