Stanley Jutkowitz to Present RMA Webinar "The Impact of Regulation and Legislation on Lending to Marijuana-Related Businesses"

Stanley Jutkowitz, senior counsel in Seyfarth's Corporate department, will present the RMA webinar "The Impact of Regulation and Legislation on Lending to Marijuana-Related Businesses" on August 10, 2021. Stanley also leads the firm’s Cannabis Law practice, and serves as editor of the firm's blog, The Blunt Truth, which addresses the legal and practical implications of cannabis laws across the US and their impacts on the business community.

Will federal cannabis legalization come to fruition in 2021? Currently pending before Congress, the Secure and Fair Enforcement (SAFE) Banking Act and the Marijuana Opportunity Reinvestment and Expungement (MORE) Act would directly impact the ability of banks to lend and provide financial services to the cannabis industry, if either are enacted into law. In addition to examining the potential effects of this pending legislation, the webinar will also discuss other laws and regulations applicable both to marijuana and hemp (CBD) banking.
