The American Lawyer named Seyfarth as one of the most recognized firms for innovation in its article, The Legal Industry’s AI Reckoning: Why Efficiency Alone Isn’t Enough, spotlighting the firm’s leadership in leveraging generative AI to transform legal service delivery.

“The legal industry is at an inflection point. The law firms and vendors that define the next decade will be those who treat AI as a lever to redesign the way legal work is delivered, measured, and valued—not as a shiny object. The visionaries who combine technology with disciplined change management, pricing innovation, and client-centric service models will lead this market reset,”  the article states.

Seyfarth was one of only three firms named in this article, which highlights that, “The most forward-looking law firms are using gen AI to reclaim more than five hours per week per lawyer, according to Everlaw’s 2025 Ediscovery Innovation Report. They are now using that time doing higher value work, such as strategic counsel, business development, and complex matter management that actually drive growth. Firms are also expanding their offerings by building new services around technology, ranging from custom apps and client-facing tools to managed legal support. And they’re rethinking how they charge, blending fixed fees for repeatable work with premium rates for high-impact matters.

Creativity, profitability, and efficiency can co-exist. Recognized innovative firms like Hogan Lovells, Seyfarth Shaw or McDermott Will & Emery are proving it with their offerings leveraging AI and creating new legal products and services.”
