Thomas Masenga Profiled in Law360 Q&A

Los Angeles Real Estate partner Thomas Masenga was recently interviewed by Law360 to talk about his view of the current real estate law landscape, as well as discuss some of the recent highlights of his practice and what he sees as the strengths and weaknesses of his fellow real estate attorneys.

After discussing his handling of a complex recent transaction, as well as noting some of the changes in both how real estate law is currently practiced and some of the strengths and weaknesses of the training newer attorneys receive, Tom reflected on the most valuable lesson he’s learned in his 33-year career.

“My competitive nature got the best of me, and I was too concerned about beating the other side and 'winning' the legal battle. I learned that a critical part of legal representation is understanding and learning all I could about the client’s business. That is a prerequisite to helping achieve the desired results for the client.”
