Torrey Young, a partner in Seyfarth’s New York office and a member of the firm’s Litigation department and Health Care, Life Sciences & Pharmaceuticals group, will co-present—alongside an FBI agent, a U.S. Department of Health and Human Services Office of Inspector General (HHS-OIG) agent, and a former health care prosecutor—a session titled “Big Data, Big Consequences: Enforcement and the Integration of Data Analytics and AI” during the American Health Law Association’s (AHLA) Fraud and Compliance Forum in Washington, DC on September 23 & 24, 2026.

Attendees of this session will gain:

  • An understanding of current enforcement priorities based on the OIG Work Plan;
  • An appreciation for the Data Fusion Center, including the sources of data, benchmarking available, and uses by whistleblowers;
  • An overview of how AI is being used to both enforce and perpetuate fraud; and
  • Insight into proactive steps organizations can take to mitigate risks associated with data patterns.
