Turnaround Management Association Honors Seyfarth Partner Greg Yates for “Turnaround of the Year” Award

NEW YORK (October 12, 2011) — Leading law firm Seyfarth Shaw LLP is pleased to announce that New York Bankruptcy, Workout and & Business Reorganization partner Greg Yates, and the other team members working on the reorganization and sale of Sunwest Management, Inc., were selected by the Turnaround Management Association (TMA) to receive the "TMA Turnaround of the Year Award" in the "Large Company" category for businesses that have a value between $300 million and $1 billion at the inception of the turnaround. The awards honor professionals who assist distressed companies to reorganize and obtain maximum value for the company's stakeholders. 

Yates' practice focuses on negotiating, structuring, documenting and closing various types of transactions involving distressed projects, as well as litigating in state, federal and bankruptcy courts if necessary. He also provides clients with strategic advice, due diligence services and the analysis of business and legal issues. In addition, Yates advises clients on creative solutions to distressed commercial real estate transactions and counsels clients on acquisitions and divestitures of commercial mortgages, real estate and other assets.
