Seyfarth and our Washington, DC office’s Diversity and Inclusion Action Team (DC DIAT) recently hosted a webinar featuring Rebecca Epstein, Executive Director of the Georgetown Law Center on Poverty and Inequality. Rebecca joined us to discuss the Center’s Initiative on Gender Justice and Opportunity, an impactful and inspirational program with the mission to “center marginalized girls in research, policy, and practice; to name and address the root causes of race and gender disparities; and to develop solutions that are guided by youths’ narratives and voices.” She also talked about the Center's ongoing work to increase awareness about, and combat, "adultification bias" against African American girls.
