William Kahn's Arrival to Seyfarth Shaw Featured in Law360
"Seyfarth Nabs Hogan Atty For Corporate Practice"
William Kahn's arrival to Seyfarth Shaw as a partner in the Corporate Department of the Washington, D.C. office was featured in the Law360 article, "Seyfarth Nabs Hogan Atty For Corporate Practice," published December 17, 2009. The article noted that William is admitted to the D.C. and Paris bars and will be focusing his practice on mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures and international clients' U.S. capital transactions. Esteban (Steve) Ferrer, Chair of the firm's Corporate Department, remarked, "William is a skilled corporate attorney who offers particularly keen insights with regard to serving his French and other international clients with their transactions in the United States."
The article noted that William was attracted to Seyfarth because of "the wide scope of practices the firm offers" and the firm's approach "to maximizing the work product from every attorney and making sure that lawyers on corporate transactions work efficiently.” He also expressed that he was especially drawn to the firm's SeyfarthLean program, which Seyfarth developed to drive down the costs of legal services by identifying and eliminating the inefficiencies that can push costs higher. He explained that the program encourages the corporate transaction department to work very efficiently across other practices. William observed that the D.C. office, with over 60 lawyers, including practices in corporate transactions, government contracts, foreign investment control and white collar crime, "is really a growing practice... And it will continue to grow." He concluded that he hopes his addition will help to further expand the firm’s corporate practice.
