Seyfarth Shaw Honored by the Pro Bono Partnership of Atlanta for Firm's Dedication to Providing Legal Expertise to Georgia's Nonprofits

Atlanta, GA (November 6, 2007) - - The Pro Bono Partnership of Atlanta, an organization that matches lawyer volunteers with local nonprofits in need of free legal counsel, presented its 2007 Law Firm of the Year Award to Seyfarth Shaw LLP for its contributions of time and legal expertise in helping Atlanta area nonprofits.

Seyfarth Shaw, LLP, one of America’s leading full-service law firms, has been involved with Pro Bono Partnership of Atlanta since its inception, by providing the organization with both volunteers and donations. In the past year alone, 20% the attorneys in Seyfarth Shaw’s Atlanta office handled a combined fifteen matters and presented five workshops on employment law.

The awards were presented during the volunteer appreciation reception for Pro Bono Partnership of Atlanta. The event, held on October 17, was hosted by The Coca-Cola Company and Federal Home Loan Bank Atlanta and held at the New World of Coca-Cola.

In its two years, Pro Bono Partnership of Atlanta has assigned and supported over 360 volunteer transactional lawyers in aiding over 200 nonprofit clients on about 400 legal matters. With support from leading corporations and law firms in the Atlanta area, Pro Bono Partnership of Atlanta plans to continue to grow and provide new resources to help local nonprofits with their legal needs.
