More About Ashley

Avoiding and defending employment discrimination lawsuits and effectively managing labor relations are two areas where clients look to Ashley for assistance. She provides employers with legal and practical advice on compliance with labor and employment laws, and defends employers when they face litigation.

Ashley advises employers on a wide spectrum of labor relations matters, including union avoidance, fostering positive employee relations, handling employee grievances, managing employee performance, and responding to union organizing campaigns. She also negotiates collective bargaining agreements on behalf of employers and represents employers in arbitrations arising under such agreements, and she defends employers in proceedings before the National Labor Relations Board.

In addition, Ashley successfully advises employers on compliance with employment laws, and she defends employers against charges of discrimination and lawsuits alleging age, race, national origin, sex, and disability discrimination. She has obtained countless dismissals from the EEOC and corresponding state agencies on behalf of her clients, and she has also won numerous motions for summary judgment in discrimination lawsuits. Ashley also provides clients with risk assessment and advice, and effectively represents employers in mediations and settlement conferences.

Ashley has represented employers in many industries, including hospitality, publishing, broadcast, media, manufacturing, retail, and transportation. She brings a unique and broad-based perspective to all of her client engagements. She also frequently provides training to managers and supervisors around the country on positive employee relations and compliance with labor and employment laws.

Ashley frequently uses technology to enhance the services she provides to her clients. For example, she utilizes Seyfarth Link to allow clients to see the status of pending matters in real time, and to obtain data that helps them identify areas of the law for additional employee training and areas of the country where particular attention may be needed.

Ashley enjoys working alongside her fellow Seyfarth attorneys, who are as passionate about providing excellent client service as she is. She is also proud to provide world-class representation to some of the largest and most successful employers in the world, as well as "mom-and-pop" businesses and startups.
