Christina counsels employers and defends clients in litigation relating to leave of absence and accommodation programs—some of the most personal matters that employers have to navigate.

More About Christina

Christina’s practice is focused on advising employers on their leave of absence and accommodations programs, helping to ensure compliance with ever-changing federal, state, and local laws. She also defends clients in litigation when disputes arise in these areas, and understands the deeply personal nature and high emotions involved in many of these disputes. She has worked closely with many large national employers on these topics, most notably in the retail and health care industries.

Christina has extensive experience in numerous single-plaintiff cases involving discrimination, wrongful termination, harassment, and retaliation. This experience includes defending clients in cases related to religious accommodations and COVID-19 vaccine policies. She is a member of Seyfarth’s Cultural Flashpoints working group, which aims to help employers navigate cultural conflicts in the workplace from a legal perspective.

She also advises clients on day-to-day personnel matters and employment laws nationwide, and counsels clients on a wide range of employment matters. These include paid sick leave, ADA and protected class accommodations, personnel and administrative policies and handbooks, discrimination avoidance, FMLA and leave entitlements, retaliation, sexual harassment, termination, and wage and hour issues. Christina is part of the team focusing on the Massachusetts Paid Family and Medical Leave Act, and also provides advice on Connecticut’s paid leave laws, CTFMLA and CTPL, as well as other state and local leave laws.

Prior to becoming an attorney, Christina had substantial experience working in management and human resources for a national political consulting firm. Having done this work, she understands the practical challenges that managers face when staying current with the constant changes to local, state, and federal employment law. Christina has coached managers to implement new policies and improve office culture to ensure a positive work environment that reduces the potential for litigation.

Christina appreciates that her Seyfarth colleagues are collaborative and highly knowledgeable in their respective subject areas. They help her get answers for her clients in a quick, cost-effective matter. In Christina's words, "It is great to work with colleagues who are leaders in the labor and employment field, and are passionate about labor and employment law."
