More About Georgie
Navigating Australia's highly regulated employment legal landscape—while simultaneously managing complex cross-border employment challenges—requires both local knowledge and global perspective. Australian and international clients turn to Georgie to help them achieve legal outcomes across multiple jurisdictions while identifying potential risks in an increasingly interconnected business environment.
Drawing on over three years of international experience in London, Georgie brings a unique combination of Australian employment law experience with a deep understanding of global workforce management. She advises Australian employers expanding internationally, as well as multinational companies with operations across APAC, EMEA, and LATAM regions on strategic workforce issues, cross-border compliance, and employment law challenges across multiple jurisdictions.
Georgie has extensive experience in both civil and commercial litigation, having worked on large, complex disputes across international boundaries. She has acted for major national and multinational clients on both litigious and non-litigious matters, providing strategic advice that considers the regulatory complexities of operating in multiple countries. Her international experience enables her to advise clients at every stage of cross-border matters, from providing detailed legal advice on multijurisdictional compliance to acting for them in international litigation and settlements.
Her global perspective, combined with her litigation background, equips Georgie with the skills necessary to help clients make commercially sound decisions that account for varying regulatory environments and cultural considerations across different markets. She also has significant experience in international law, having previously worked for the United Nations on the Khmer Rouge Tribunal.
At the heart of Georgie's practice is her passion for strong, enduring relationships with her clients. She thrives on the challenges that come with complex litigation, as well as counselling clients to help them avoid disputes through proactive compliance strategies. Georgie approaches client challenges with empathy and creativity, so she can deliver constructive, and commercial legal advice.
Our Australian practice operates as Seyfarth Shaw Australia, an unincorporated legal practice. Legal services provided by Seyfarth Shaw Australia are provided only by the Australian legal practitioner partners and employees of Seyfarth Shaw Australia.
